Colonel Warren Marshal

One of five children born into a Catholic family, Warren grew up lower middle class. His family was not wealthy, but they were happy and devoted to one another. He entered the military at the age of 18 and excelled. He married his High school sweetheart, Maureen and had a child, Benny, by the time he was 25.

His life was rather uneventful until Benny's fifth birthday. Warren was stationed overseas at the time and Maureen took Benny to a local amusement park. She took her eyes off of the boy for less than a minute and he was gone. Following a hunt through the park and an amber alert, the boy was still nowhere to be found.

Warren was sent home to assist with the aftermath and awaited a ransom call or any sign of the child. Neither ever came. Benny was gone and was never seen by either of his parents again. The loss tore Warren and Maureen apart. He blamed her and she blamed Warren for the fact she was practically a single parent for the bulk of Benny's life.

After a quiet divorce in which Warren fought for nothing, he threw himself into his work. Warren excelled and moved up quickly. He was well liked by his peers and superiors. He did not question orders.

After the mass destruction began in December of 2012, Warren was fortunate enough to be stationed at Fort Campbell. The Fort was under the leadership of the present Colonel. The pressure, however, took its toll on the man who had lost his family. The Former Colonel died on January 6th of undisclosed causes. Warren was a shoe in for the promotion. He had done his grieving for his family years before and had a laser focus on getting the United States back in working order.
