Personality: Quiet, brooding, antisocial and untrusting which is to be expected in this day and age under the circumstances. Street savvy but still a little naïve in a way, smarter than folks think he is. Severe abandonment issues, and a kind of survivor’s guilt, he can be pretty hard on himself.


Any special skills: Basic mechanics, good with his hands, swings a mean baseball bat.





The oldest of three kids in a dysfunctional home, James grew up mostly out in the streets of Philadelphia, where he was born. His father was an ex-soldier, who seemed to be in a constant state of drunkenness when he wasn’t working as a machinist in a local pharmaceutical factory. His mother was usually busy taking care of his younger siblings and avoiding her husband, who could be abusive in his drunken states. Sometimes he took his aggressions out on his eldest son, who he claimed thought he was better than him or trying to replace him.

In the end it became true when his father left one night for the local bar, and never came home. James was just fourteen, and was suddenly the man of the house. The family survived little knowing that a few years later, the illness that swept the country would leave only Jamie behind.

When the rivers began to overflow, and the first quake shook the Liberty Bell loose from its two hundred year old yoke, James took off looking for higher ground. He’s been on the road since, searching for something he isn’t even sure about. Maybe his father, just so he can give him a piece of his mind or just so he has some kind of focus in his life.
